Airlines companies have decided to increase air fare after NOC increased price of jet fuel.
Airlines Operators Association of Nepal today published new air fare rate effective from 7th July. Increase in fuel surcharge has increased air fare rate. Fuel surcharge means the extra free that airlines operator charge to make provision for the fluctuating costs of fuel.
As per new revised rate, the airfare from Kathmandu to Dhangadi has reached Rs 17,025. Similarly Kathmandu- Pokhara fare has reached Rs 6985. The lowest airfare rate is for Kathmandu-Simara flight at Rs 4240. Mountain view flights will now cost Rs 14,890 according to new rates.
As roadways often get obstructed due to landslides and floods during this rainy season, people are attracted to air transportation. However this increase in price might affect growing interest of public in air transport.
