Australia, popular destination of Nepali students, has tightened its visa approval in recent days.
According to latest data, only 10% of total applicants have success visa rate compared to almost 96% few months back. As Covid-19 took toll in Australian labour market, visa approval rate increased more than 9 folds compared to recent time. But now as Covid-19 impacts are wearing off and also due to huge influx of foreign students and workers in earlier months, Australia has tightened to grant visa.
Almost 200 Nepalese in average have been applying visa to Australia in daily basis in recent days. Earlier, when visa processing was made loose, the decision to grant visa was made within a day. But now it has started to take long time to get the decision about visa approval. The pending visa verdict means, more than 300 applicant are being denied visa daily nowadays.
Even students with higher qulification are being denied visa in recent days, a source from ECAN informed. Australian High Commission in New Delhi grants visa to Nepali students.
