Children from 27 districts are getting second dose of covid vaccine from today.
Ministry of Health and Population had given first dose of vaccine to children aged 5-12 from Asar 9-15. The respective schools of children have been designated as Vaccine Centre (VaC). They will be administered Pfizer and BioNtech vaccines. The children have to carry their vaccine card to get their second dose.
Jhapa, Ilam, Sunsari and Morang of Province 1, Saptari, Siraha, Dhanusa, Mahottati and Parsa of Madesh province and Kathmandu, Bhaktapur, Lalitpur, Kavre, Sindhuli, Makwanpur and Chitwan from Bagmati province are the districts where vaccines are being administered.
Similary, children of Kaski and Nawalparasi East of Gandaki province, Nawalparasi West, Rupandehi, Dang, Banke and Bardiya of Lumbini province, Surket of Karnali province and Kanchanpur and Dadeldhura of Farwest province also have been provided first dose of vaccine.
Second phase of vaccination program will begin Bhadra 5-11 in remaining 50 districts while second dose are scheduled to be administered from Bhadra 27 to Asoj 1.
US had provided 1 Million 8 thousands dose of pfizer- bioNtec vaccine last Thursday.
