House of Representative has passed Railway Act by majority today.
The bill that was drafted in National Assembly is now passed from House of Representatives as well. This will lead way to enact Railway Act, 2079 after it gets endorsed by President Bidhya Devi Bhandari. Bhawani Prasad Khapung today presented Railway Bill in HoR, which was supported by majority of members of parliament.
In lack of railway act, operation of Janakpur-Jainagar train was getting legal obstruction. The railway service was being operated by issuing an ordinance till date. Now as the bill is passed, Janakpur railway will be brought to regular operation.
