Massive Fire In Kapan, Three Dead

A massive fire broke out at a house at Lasuntar of Kapan, Kathmandu on Wednesday evening, killing three persons.

The deceased have been identified as Kasang Tenzi Sherpa(27yo) of Tapeljung,  Ashok Rai(32yo) of Sankhuwasabha and Chhewang Sherpa(25yo) of Kathmandu, Ranibari. Similarly Kushal Budhathoki(28yo) of Kapan has been injured in the fire. He has been receiving treatment at Karuna Hospital, Chunikhel.

Spokesperson of District Police Range, Kathmandu, Superintendent of Police Dinesh Raj Mainali informed that the fire started at around 6:45 pm was doused with the effort of security personnel and locals. More than 300 security personnels were deployed to take massive fire in control.

The reason behind the fire has not been ascertained yet. The extent of financial damage caused by the fire is yet to be ascertained. Spokesperson Mainali shared that 9 fire engines and 10 water tankers were used to douse the fire.
