Police Bust 5 In Kidney Transplant Racket, Street Children In Target

Police has arrested 5 people involved in illegal kidney transplantation racket. The gang had been targetting street children of Kathmandu.

The main accused has been identified as Dhan Bahadur Roka while other trafficker are disclosed as Dhupendra Shahi, Bijay Kunwar, Bimal Bahadur Shahi and Aasish Tamang. Anti Human Trafficking Investigation Bureau of Nepal Police had arrested three trafficker on 29 June with two kids being prepared to be taken to Kolkata, India. Name of major accused Roka was disclosed from inquiry of arrested three.

According to Bureau, Bimal Shahi and Dhan Bahadur Roka have already sold one of their own kidney. Police has disclosed that they had been tempting street children to sell their kidneys. Roka used to find receipient for kidney in India and his helpers would find donor in Nepal, police informed.
